World Book Day 2013 Competition

Write a story in six words!

Legend has it that in a smokey bar in the 1920s, Ernest Hemmingway's colleagues bet him that he couldn't write a complete story in six words. To cut a long story short, he did, and he believed the resulting short story to be his best work. What he wrote was ....

'For sale: baby shoes, never worn.'

Now it's your turn!

There is only one rule...your story must be six words. No more, no less.
The winning entries will not only be rewarded with their stories being published here
for the world to read but will also receive a book token!
Please email your entries to: englishonline@loretonavan.ie
with your name and the name of your tutor class.
Closing date is Wednesday 13th March.
Good Luck!
